the footsteps fund
To fully represent the O’Neill’s rich artistic history, the Make Your Mark project seeks to honor artists who have spent time here and made a lasting impact on the O’Neill. Bricks sponsored by the Footsteps Fund recognize artists who are no longer with us, as well as those whose work and influence have significantly advanced the arts and the O’Neill’s mission. Your additional donation at checkout helps ensure these vital figures are represented in this project.

Where will the bricks be installed?
Engraved bricks will be permanently installed on the patio and walkways of Blue Gene’s Pub on our campus located at 305 Great Neck Road, Waterford, CT.

What can I engrave on my brick?
Each brick can be engraved with up to 4 lines of text and 14 characters per line.
You may include names, dates, short messages, meaningful phrases, or use special characters (ex. &, ♡, quotations, etc.) If you’re unsure whether a special character can be engraved, please contact us before placing your order and we’ll be happy to help.

What is the timeline for ordering and installation?
We take brick orders on a rolling basis, and do an annual installation around April/May in time for you to admire your brick(s) during our summer season.
For this 2026 summer season, orders must be placed by March 27th to be included in the installation. Bricks will be professionally installed in May 2026.

What is included in the cost of my brick(s)?
The cost of your brick covers the engraving, processing, and professional installation on campus, as well as donation that supports our organization. As no goods or services are provided in exchange for this contribution, the full amount of your purchase is tax-deductible.

How will I receive confirmation of my order?
As a special touch, every order will receive a custom, digital certificate acknowledging your engraved message. This certificate can be gifted, shared, or kept as a keepsake until your brick is officially installed in May.
In addition, you will receive a formal tax acknowledgment within one month of placing your order.

How can I further support Make Your Mark?
You may choose to make an optional additional donation to the Footsteps Fund at checkout. These contributions support the creation of engraved bricks for influential artists and help ensure this project reflects the full depth and history of the O’Neill’s artistic community.
