2017 Cabaret & Performance Conference

The conference brings some of the biggest names in Cabaret Theater to perform at the O'Neill each summer, providing valuable development and performance training for select Cabaret Fellows – up-and-coming performers on the cabaret scene.

Cabaret and Performance Conference: Brad Simmons & Christina Bianco, Tracy Stark, Spencer Day, Barb Jungr & Lennie Watts, Judy Kuhn, and more!

Welcome to the O’Neill’s 2017 Cabaret Conference!

We kick off this summer’s Cabaret season (August 2) with a wonderful, jam-packed evening of variety, song, and a few teasers of coming attractions added to the mix for a grand time! OPENING NIGHT admission is free (donations accepted), so be sure to come early to get a seat!

O’Neill favorite, Brad Simmons teams up with incredible powerhouse, Christina Bianco, in a show created just for us.  Brad leads the highly regarded Junior Fellows program, but tonight he partners with Christina, whose diva impression videos have made her a YouTube sensation with over 23 million views worldwide!  This new show (August 3) is not to be missed.

Tracy Stark, who has graced our stage for the past five years accompanying many incredible performers, takes the spotlight herself (August 4) along with some very special friends, presenting an evening of her brilliant music inspired by her new recording, “Shades of Beautiful”.

The extraordinary Spencer Day makes his O’Neill debut (August 5) celebrating the release of his new recording, “Angel City”. His recent collection, Daybreak, debuted at #1 on the iTunes Jazz Chart.  He’s performed at the Hollywood Bowl, Tanglewood and Birdland and you won’t want to miss him at the O’Neill.

Barb Jungr & John McDaniel (that’s me!) are teaming up for another a very special world premiere evening. The new show is called “Peaceful Easy Feeling” and celebrates the music of the 1970’s.  This evening (August 6) includes some of the greatest music of that formative decade and we are so looking forward to sharing it with you.

Join us for a night of music from star of stage and screen Tom Woppat (August 8).

Our Junior Fellows take the stage (August 9) this summer bringing us back to Studio 54 with the iconic music of the Bee Gees.  Their accomplished leader, Brad Simmons, arranges and directs this evening, which is consistently a sold-out highlight of the summer!  The adult Fellows perform the following night (August 10).

The phenomenal four-time Tony nominee Judy Kuhn joins us for an evening of song (August 11).  Perhaps best known for her work on Broadway in Fun Home, Rags, and as a member of the original cast of Les Miserables, she also sang the title role in Disney’s Pocahontas.  She’s performed at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, The Royal Albert Hall in London – do not miss this gorgeous concert.

Our 2016 season will wrap up with our Cabaret Finale (August 12) featuring many surprises.  This show sells out early every year, so get your tickets while they’re available.  We look forward to seeing you all at the Cabaret!!
